A British family goes on a summer vacation to a remote Swedish island. Once there, they find out the island has a dark past and that a woman was murdered in the very house where they're staying.

To their dismay, the island is filled with odd people who would rather not have visitors. When the family discovers that a serial killer is on the loose, they also find that unfortunately for them, the hostile locals have no interest in helping this stranded family of tourists.
